You’ve set up your social media accounts, but what do you do now? Here are 10 quick and easy ways to gain more exposure through social media.
As a Small Business Owner, I can empathize with the need to market the business on a limited budget. Let’s face it, this is why Social Media is so attractive to us – costs are minimal. So, in the spirit of helping maximize your marketing efforts through Social Media, I’ve put together 10 tips you can implement today to get more exposure.
10 Quick & Easy Ways To Get More Exposure Through Social Media
1. Use your Social Media Accounts.
If you’re one of those people that created your company page or opened an account, but haven’t used it since, then it’s time to start.
2. Post regularly.
Plan on posting to your social media accounts daily.
3. Post frequently.
People log in to their social media accounts at different times. So you want to make sure that you’re posting content when they’re online.
4. Follow people.
If you’re on Twitter, find your clients and potential clients and follow them. You’d be surprised at how many people will follow you back.
5. Engage in conversation.
Engaging in conversations requires that you listen to the conversations going on in Social Media. If you find that you are able to contribute in a positive way, then do it.
6. Be Relevant.
Random is good, but relevant is better. Make sure that you know what is going on in the world, in your industry and with your customers so that you can post content that will add value to their day.
7. Don’t be pushy.
Nobody likes a pushy self-centered person, so don’t be that person online. Practice the 80/20 Rule of Social Sharing whenever possible.
8. Be Helpful.
Nobody knows your business like you do, so teach us something.
9. Be Human.
It’s ok to have a personality online. After all, we want to make sure that there’s a person behind that social media profile
10. Use pictures.
Studies show that posts with pictures receive much more attention than those without pictures. So whenever you can, try using an image to compliment your text.
There are a lot of ways, some paid and some not, that can help you gain exposure through Social Media. But, if you implement these 10 tips, you’re definitely going to get in front of more people immediately. Remember, that Social Media works if you work it.
