How Do I Connect Facebook To Etsy?

In a recent Social Media course on Facebook For Business that I was teaching, I was asked “How do I connect my Facebook to my Easy store?”  Admittedly, I don’t have an Etsy store because I don’t sell physical goods, so answering this question took a little research.

Connect Etsy to Facebook

According to Etsy’s help article, Add Facebook and Twitter Buttons to Shop, below are the steps you go through to connect your Etsy store to your Facebook account:

  1. Make sure that your shop is connected to Facebook
    1. How to Connect to Facebook
      1. Make sure you’re signed out of Facebook in the same browser.
      2. Go to Your Shop > Shop Settings > Info & Appearance and scroll down to the Links section.
      3. When you click Connect with Facebook, a new window will pop up asking you to log in to Facebook.
  • If you manage multiple Facebook Pages, you will see a list of the pages to choose from.
  • If you manage one Page, your shop will automatically choose your page.
  • For existing listings, in your Listing Manager, click the gear to the right of a listing and they click Share.
  • You can’t connect the same Facebook Page to more than one Etsy shop.

A Word On Facebook Permissions

  • When you connect your Etsy account with your Facebook account, you grant Etsy permission to see information you’ve made available to Facebook, such as your name, Likes, and list of friends. You also grant Etsy the “Manage Pages” permission which allows us to provide you with the option to post to your Facebook Page directly from Etsy and display a Facebook Like button in your shop.

Ok, that should do it.  Your accounts should now be connected.

Now go sell on Etsy and Facebook!
